Journal 67

I want to write what is on my mind, but I am not yet ready to.

Just know that it is eating me up inside, like a festering disease.

On a different note, because I am trying to kill time by writing, may as well write something of substance. Things in my life have been odd, but isn’t that normal for me? Ri- and I have been out twice already (hanging out for clarification, not a date, obviously). Once to a science tech interactive museum and once to a Charles Dickens Christmas-themed fair, set in the 1800s. Both were excellent days. He volunteers at the Tech Initiative and so, I basically got a personal tour of the place. We spent the entire day in the museum, building things, solving puzzles, playing with VR stuff….and like an hour hanging out on the floor playing with legos. I learned a lot. We had lunch at a Mexican restaurant and “argued” about the relationship between fungi and humans.

Fast forward to yesterday (the Dicken’s Fair), no one in the group showed up so it was just us two. The place was busy and a little warm. I had to laugh out loud when I saw him as I had mentioned the Victorian-theme and cosplaying and he showed up wearing an over-sized t-shirt with the Maxwell-Gauss Equations for electricity something-or-other. Relevant, but in the dorkiest, most nerdy manner possible. We grabbed hot apple cider and walked around the fair, interacting with the stands and actors. Ri- is full of thoughts that just pour out to anyone who will listen. Let’s see, I learned about how quartz was used when we went by time pieces, learned how the speed of light was accidentally discovered, and about the eye of Horus. When Ro- asked me what my favorite part of the Fair was, I thought about it for a minute. The ambiance was great but it was more-or-less a typical ‘convention’ feeling, lots of over-priced hand-made things to buy. So, I told Ro- that my favorite part of the whole day was Ri-. And then I said, “I think I have a crush on him”, haha.

Today before D&D began, he came up to me and handed me a USB and told me he downloaded some music and movies he thinks I would like. I took it and said thanks. Spent the rest of D&D sleeping on the couch because I was still feeling ill but didn’t want to miss out on the storyline.

My next few days, I will be planning out a Thanksgiving meal and working on my 10-page paper that was actually due Saturday. Meh.
