I finally found where I am going – D.C.

My university has excellent in-person classes for my degree. It only makes sense to move to DC so that I can gain this training and the certifications that go with them. I will be in the field half of the time doing assessments and experiments and the other half of the time, I will be learning what I love, data analysis. Sounds like something that will keep me busy.

I put in a job application to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) based out of DC. Wish me luck. I need something good to happen. Rent is expensive in the DC area.

My dad called me today, asked if I could spend the holidays with him. Jokes on him because I was already planning on it. He seems very excited this year because he and his friends decided to rent a huge wooden cabin near a lake and spend a week in Branson, MO. He asked me to come. I sat back and laughed, me with a bunch of old racers, really? He said yeah, I grew up with all those “old racers”, they’re basically all my uncles…at least that is what I grew up knowing them as. I said sure. I’ll meet you in Branson, dad. It will be nice to get away from everything and sit in the woods. I’ve always loved Branson in the fall. And I’ve always loved sitting on the porch with my pops and our dogs.
